Contract: Full-time, 1 year fixed term

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly skilled Deputy Headteacher to join us from 1st September 2024 for 1 year until 31st August 2025 who will play a critical role in continuing the academic excellence of the school and further improving its reputation within the local and national context.

The successful candidate will:

  • Has the skills and knowledge to monitor, evaluate, report on and influence whole school improvement, but particularly standards of attainment and learning and teaching.
  • Has experience of teaching and leading teams of staff effectively
  • Has clear and demonstrable experience of developing their own and others’ pedagogy and practice
  • Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues, promoting high aspirations for all through a range of leadership styles
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues, children and the wider community, through modelling high levels of professionalism, commitment and integrity.
  • Inspire, challenge and motivate children to achieve
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Create an outstanding learning environment
  • Be creative and tailor the curriculum and teaching strategies to best suit the needs of the children
  • Be committed to fostering excellent relationships between parents, carers and the community

  • Be able to teach across the primary phase including early years
  • Is committed to the safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing of children and staff.
