Admission criteria (Oversubscription criteria)
1. Looked after or previously looked after children.
2. Siblings (brother or sister who will still be in attendance in September).
3. Denominational claims (in the case of voluntary controlled Church of England primary schools).
4. Distance (children who live nearest the school measured in a straight line).
Children with a statement of special educational needs (SEN)
Any child with a statement of special educational needs (SEN) is required to be admitted to the school that is named in their statement. This gives any such child overall priority for admission to the named school. This is not an oversubscription criterion.
Admission to school is governed by policy determined by national government. Information about this is available from the Education and Learning section of the GOV.UK website.
